Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Job Overview

You’ll be the friendly face greeting clients, managing appointments, and assisting veterinarians with hands-on feline care. Responsibilities
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, kennels, and reception space to uphold safety standards
- Greet clients warmly and efficiently manage appointment scheduling to ensure a seamless flow of daily operations
- Answer phone calls promptly, provide information, and assist clients with inquiries or appointment bookings
- Maintain accurate patient records, update medical histories, and process client paperwork with attention to detail
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by handling cats and preparing necessary supplies
- Support laboratory tasks such as collecting samples, running basic tests, and recording results to aid diagnostic processes
- Provide compassionate care to cats, including feeding, administering medications under supervision, and monitoring their well-being
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience preferred;
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred; laboratory experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with clients and team members
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a lively environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic computer skills for managing electronic records and scheduling systems
- A genuine passion for animal welfare combined with a positive attitude and proactive approach
